Principal's Welcome

I am delighted to welcome you to the Davitt College website. Davitt College is a co-educational, nondenominational, multicultural post-primary school. In keeping with our mission statement we ensure that we provide a caring environment where all students are taught the importance of hard work and respect for self and others. Davitt College is a dynamic and vibrant centre of teaching and learning. Our inclusive and holistic approach to education provides all our students with a wide range of academic and practical subjects, together with an extensive range of extracurricular activities as well as programmes in health and physical education. Students consistently achieve distinction in examination results, sports, debating and public speaking, music, art, projects and competitions.

We are proud of all our students' achievements and we endeavour at all times to enable them to reach their full potential.
Our highly professional and dedicated staff prepare students for third level education and for future life by helping them make the very best of their talents and skills. Davitt College is one of the most innovative post primary schools in the country, where the use of information technology is an integral part of teaching and learning. With four computer suites and all classrooms fitted with a laptop and digital projector, this technological infrastructure introduces students to e-learning and helps support self-directed learning.
In partnership with our Board of Management, Parents' Council and Student Council we have devised comprehensive policies and procedures which deal with discipline, bullying and other issues affecting the welfare of students.
