Dedicated Repeat Leaving Cert. Class for September 2010 In Davitt College

The feasibility of providing a dedicated Repeat Leaving Cert. class in September 2010 is being closely examined according to Ms. Rowland. The Davitt College Principal is convinced that there is need for such a provision in Co. Mayo and that this school could be the ideal location. “As things stand, we accommodate repeat students most years “, says Ms. Rowland,” and again this year we are extremely fortunate in the calibre of people who applied to repeat with us. They have a very strong work ethic apart from which they are lovely pleasant people.” “They are ideal role models for our younger students” she says.
Ms. Rowland goes on to point out that there is no repeat Leaving Cert. programme closer than Galway which can be too far for many students.
