‘Science Magic’ in Davitt College

Once again Davitt College organised their Annual Science Event for sixth class primary school students. Giving students a ‘hands on’ opportunity to explore the sciences in a fun and exciting way has been a huge success. The enthusiasm with which Davitt College promotes science is reflected in the outstanding results achieved in Leaving cert. Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
The occasion also included a demonstration of the extensive ICT science resources in the school’s state of the art computer facility. The use of Information Technology is now an integral part of science teaching

The Minister for Education and Science, has advised that students “think carefully about choosing courses in the science, engineering and technology sectors, which are in high demand with good career prospects and are critically important to support the growth of high-value-knowledge-based industries in Ireland”.
