An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny TD Launches Davitt College “Health Promoting School” Initiative

Davitt College has partnered with Mayo Sports Partnership, CROÍ, Soroptimist Castlebar and the HSE to promote awareness and action for a more physically and mentally educated and healthier school. The collaboration between Davitt College and these organisations will ensure that a more active healthy school is cultivated for all students, now and into the future.

The school has a dedicated committee which promotes healthy living, both in body and in mind. The school Care Team, Home Economics, SPHE, PE and Music Departments work together to promote positive mental health and well being throughout the school community.

The Annual Positive Mind and Body Awareness Week has been a huge success within Davitt College. All staff and students are encouraged to participate in activities to enhance their physical and mental health.
